Alcohol is one of the things you will find at every house. Although most of us use it as a disinfectant in emergency cases, but actually it has many more uses. In fact, rubbing alcohol is a multi-purpose product. From small injuries, to broken make up. Here are some beauty uses of rubbing alcohol that you probably didn’t know about.
Fix Broken Powders
If you ever accidentally break your make up powders, don’t go buy new ones. You can just use rubbing alcohol to fix it from home. All you have to do, is pick up the pieces back into the compact, then add few drops of rubbing alcohol. Once you have a paste, smooth it with the back of a spoon, then let it dry for at least a whole day.
Clean& Disinfect Make Up Brushes
Besides being used frequently to clean injuries, it can also help disinfect your brushes. Make up brushes should be cleaned and disinfected every two weeks, to prevent germs from compiling which will cause you several infections. You could put them in rubbing alcohol for 20-30 minutes, then rinse them off with water to have clean make up brushes.
Clean Glasses
Have you ever wondered why your glasses keep looking dirty even though you wipe them off daily? Well, that’s because it’s not enough. You need to add some rubbing alcohol to some water, and some cleaning soap. you can use store it and use it multiple times. All you need to do is spray the product on a clean cloth, then wipe the glasses with it.
Remove Wax
Wether you keep a waxing machine at home, or you get it done at the beauty salon. You will always have some wax residue left on your body. The easiest solution is to soak a cloth/towel in rubbing alcohol, then wipe up the area. Moreover, you can also use it to take off hard wax leftovers from candles on your expensive table.
