We stick to<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/curiosifymagazine.com\/en\/how-technology-is-zapping-our-memory\/\">memories<\/a> that shape us into behaving in certain ways; <\/strong>they partly provide form to the <strong>personalities<\/strong> we have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But what happens when we start <strong>losing these memories<\/strong> we so strongly cling to? We l<strong>ose sight of previous experience<\/strong>, and even <strong>entire periods of our lives.<\/strong> We <strong>forget the faces and names of people we love<\/strong>, and in the end, we even<strong> forget about ourselves.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Alzheimer&#8217;s disease<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/curiosifymagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/matteo-vistocco-537858-unsplash.jpg\" alt=\"Alzheimers\" class=\"wp-image-6252\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This is what happens if you suffer from the <strong>medical condition <\/strong>called <strong>Alzheimer&#8217;s<\/strong>. The disease mostly affects the <strong>elderly<\/strong>, but it is not necessarily so. Almost <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alzheimers.net\/resources\/alzheimers-statistics\/\"><strong>44 million<\/strong><\/a><strong> people worldwide<\/strong> suffer from this dreaded condition, and <strong>numbers seem to be rising every year. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Therapies <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are <strong>numerous therapies<\/strong> that aim to <strong>cure<\/strong>, or at least <strong>palliate<\/strong> the disease. Such therapies go from <strong>musical therapies<\/strong> to <strong>building entire villages<\/strong> for people suffering from Alzheimer&#8217;s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Doll therapy against Alzheimer&#8217;s<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest ongoing therapy has been carried out in Spain: <strong>non-pharmacological therapies<\/strong> that involve <strong>patient-doll interactions.<\/strong> The aim of this therapy is <strong>awakening feelings<\/strong> inside the patient that would <strong>palliate symptoms<\/strong> caused by Alzheimer&#8217;s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"es\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Patients enjoying doll therapy on elliot ward today?..
